| Introductory Postures |
Introductory level postures encompass sixty
poses fundamental to the Iyengar yoga system. These postures
prepare the body and mind for subsequent practice and include standing asanas, forward bends, backbends, twistings, hand balancings and inversions.
You will learn to observe yourself doing the postures - this growing awareness
and recognition of 'what is' begins the spiritual path of yoga. |
| Intermediate Postures | Intermediate postures (fifty-five postures) extend on understanding gained at Introductory level - students will have some knowledge of their bodies and be able to work more sensitively in the postures. The concepts alignment and extension will be understood by students when working in postures. |
