Cissy has studied Iyengar Yoga with yogacharya B.K.S.Iyengar, his daughter Geeta and son Prashant; also with senior teachers from India and Europe. During October 2008 she trained five hours daily at the Iyengar Yoga Institute, Pune, India - a deep yoga experience connecting body, mind and breath. This Pune training is work towards her senior Iyengar yoga certificate. Cissy trained as an Iyengar yoga teacher in North East England with Margaret Austin, gaining the Iyengar yoga teachers certificate 1986. In 1995 Cissy qualified as a national assessor of Iyengar yoga; in 2000 she qualified as an Iyengar yoga teacher trainer and has successfully trained ten teachers in Nottinghamshire.
