Introductory level postures encompass sixty poses that are fundamental to the Iyengar yoga system. These postures prepare the body and mind for all subsequent practice and include standing asanas, forward bends, backbends, twistings, hand balancings and inversions. You will learn to observe yourself doing the postures - this growing awareness and recognition of 'what is' begins the spiritual path of yoga. |
